Mar 09, 2010
RIBER, the global leader for molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), announces the sale of a Compact 21 to IHP laboratory (Innovation of High Performance Microelectronics), based in Frankfurt (Oder) in Germany.

As a European research and innovation center, the IHP actively co-operates with numerous industrial and academic partners within the framework of high performance microelectronics and communication technology research. In particular, the laboratory develops specific expertise in material research and technological developments, as well as circuit and system design.

This order will significantly increase its applied technology research and development capabilities.

The system sold to IHP will thus be equipped with a gas injector and be devoted to the development of graphene-based applications. Graphene is a highly promising new material for the development of many innovative applications, such as the production of a new generation of ultra-fast transistors.

Compact 21 is the MBE research system that has sold the most units in the world. It is highly flexible and offers great  adaptability to meet the most demanding specifications of applied research on compound semi-conductor materials.

This order will consolidate RIBER’s position in the German market and confirms its significant expertisein semi-conductor research.
